National Academy
of Police Diving selects IDEA
The National Academy of
Police Diving (NAPD) Board of Directors
has selected IDEA as their exclusive
sport diving certification agency. The
reasons given by the NAPD Board of
Directors were the high quality of sport
divers produced by IDEA. NAPD went on to
explain, "In the area of police
diving it is extremely important that
their divers have excellent academic
knowledge and water skills abilities
before they begin training as a police
diver".
The National Academy of Police Diving is
a not-for-profit organization. NAPD was
founded in 1988 by a group of police
divers who recognized a need for formal
training and standards for public safety
